Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
As an electrical biased fitter, I get the opportunity to do earthing on the car bodies, create jumper cables by cutting and crimping them. I get the chance to sort cabling across the car bodies and wire plugs & waygos.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I love it as it opens your mindset to the bigger world of engineering & being one of the only electrical biased apprentices I have a great team who teach me all their individual best skills to train me all their knowledge to try and make me become one of the best ones.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Everything I do here I was taught from ground up, I had a mechanical background with my family doing some stripping of land rovers.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Its quite well however the college side of it feels really slack and effortless on their behalf.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
From work I receive great amounts of support as I suffer from ADHD. They treat me amazingly and get me involved as much as possible and will push their limit to try and understand themselves how efficient some neurodivergent people can actually be.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
If this refers to the college then nothing. I have been asking for learning support from my college since the very start of my apprenticeship and tried to push it forward so I can get even the slightest bit of assistance but haven't received it
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Not very much, The only ideal things we do at college is Health and Safety as that covers a broader range of things like COSHH, RIDDOR.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Their was NTAR which is the Nation Training Academy for railway where we got to learn more things about Siemens
