I work in our business development function, focusing on driving growth across our core European markets. In addition to this, I lead the delivery team for Service Engineering vacancies across Europe.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Yes, I am enjoying the programme & the balance of working alongside university study. I feel the skills developed particularly within my day-to-day role will be particularly helpful for my future career both inside and out of Zenopa.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well organised and structured - the only improvement I would make would be to remove our 3-day 'bookends' for university work. This is due to the difficulty in dropping everything for almost a week at a time and relying on others to cover, particularly when more than one person in a team are out at once.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have lots of support from my employer. In addition to bi-weekly 1/1 meetings with my line manager, I also have indirect support from a number of individuals across the business.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I recieve enough support from my training provider when working towards my degree. At times it can be difficult to follow some of the content within modules on the course as there aren't direct links to my day-to-day role at work, but support is always offered by tutors/ lecturers when needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I would say my qualification is slightly relevant to my role at work. Some modules, such as prople/process management are strongly related, while others such as data science are less relevant. On average, I would say that this sits at a 50% ratio.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes - through work I attend a number of conferences both inside and out of the business, and get involved with a number of extra-curricular activities such as sports clubs.

Why?
Zenopa is a great platform to learn & grow individually while also studying for a degree. The skills I have learned and opportunities I have been given within work have allowed me to progress significantly in a few years of being here.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Zenopa?
I would advise them to research the company and make sure they are clear on their motivations for wanting to apply. It's then about being proactive and taking every opportunity you are presented with throughout the apprenticeship.
