I am a Professional Development specialist working in the Professional Development team at Grandir UK. I design and deliver Early Years training, leadership training and create bespoke training packages for the nurseries to use within their staff teams.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I absolutely love it! I am even thinking about what I can do after this one. I want to expand my knowledge and skillset so that I am a valuable employee to have.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt so many new skills during this apprenticeship, I am learning every week either from a workshop, shadowing my mentor, meetings and new opportunities I am provided with.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well structured, I have my whole year planned out, I know when my workshops are, I can plan my time in advance which is essential in my role. I know when I plan to finish and when I will go into EPA.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

A huge amount, I have a mentor who is excellent and teaches me lots. My line manager is very supportive and will always give me whatever I need to be successful. The head of HR and the head of recruitment will always offer me their time and insight which is really helping me to thrive!
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Realise are a great training provider, I always have the content I need to work on my assignments.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I am not fully in a HR role yet, but it's giving me the knowledge and skills to become better at certain aspects of my role, for example the leadership training that I deliver.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes! I have loads of opportunities for further learning which is really important to me, I love to learn! I am regular putting myself out there for workshops, webinars and further learning. I shadow a HRBP who I learn a lot from as well.

I love working at Grandir UK, the learning opportunities are endless if you want to progress. The company has so many different functions that there are plentiful opportunities to go in a different direction, expand on current knowledge or try something completely new.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Grandir UK?
Put yourself out there, never be afraid to go for what you want, every challenge or setback is an opportunity for a new direction. Believe in yourself.
