Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

cutting pipes, prepping pipes, setting up pipe for a fitting to be put onto it using grinders, files, levels, flange pins etc
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i am enjoying it more everytime i learn something new, it also gives me a push when i learn new things as it will help me proceed to my end point assesment.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have learnt and got a better understanding of the role of a pipe fitter and i am enjoying the learning process and taking part everyday

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

i think my apprentiship is well organised although i think skills tests more often in the workshop would be more beneficial so we can see where we need help or anything extra we need to learn.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

there is also support available for apprentices

i don't think you receive as much support from your training provider as you do at work
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

they taught me the basic skills of engineering but unfortunately had no pipe fitter to teach me basics about my trade before being moved to work and i think work has really helped me gain alot of these skills
