My role involves carrying out surveys nationwide on non traditional houses and high rise structures to determine their structural condition. Then using the data to produce reports outlining the findings.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It can be a lot of work and long hours but the rewards and benefits in the end are worth the effort.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have highly developed my analytical thinking and problem solving skills as I have to try and diagnose the causes of defects to these structures I survey.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is clearly set out but the new system used to manage the apprenticeship at university is still very new to me which is causing teething issues.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer provide me with a good level of support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They have been very useful when I'm completing assignments and coursework and helping with exam prep however when doing off the job things I sometimes find it very unclear what needs doing.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I provides me with a greater depth of knowledge and helps me understand what other roles in my company do.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We do a golf league and then social events such as go karting and meals.
