As an apprentice machinist in Atlassian Williams Racing, I’m learning to operate CNC machines, interpret technical drawings, and manufacture precise car components. I work with raw materials to create parts like engine, aero, and chassis components, making sure they meet tight tolerances. I also inspect and measure parts, collaborate with engineers, and help troubleshoot when needed. Maintaining the machinery and following safety standards is crucial. F1's fast-paced environment means producing high-performance parts quickly, and as I gain experience, I’ll take on more complex tasks and contribute to the team’s success on the track.
