Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role has 2 sides to it. In my day to day at Amazon I create marketing campaigns for the website as well as Email and Push campaigns. I spend 1 day a week doing apprenticeship work which really helps understand the theory so I can excel in my role at Amazon.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme to a large degree, I think we have a great support system at Amazon with easy accessible ways to communicate with peers like Slack, Chime and email, which helps when getting stuck and facing blockers, I enjoy the fact I can put my theory into practice at Amazon

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed my communication and interpersonal skills, I have picked up new skills like excel and in house tools like Sonar and Content Symphony.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is organised and structured well, I am always busy and have enough time to complete both my apprenticeship work and my Amazon related work too
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive the right amount of support from Amazon, my line and skip level managers are always available to help and give advice on anything, from Amazon related projects and tasks to apprenticeship work
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We get a lot of support from LDN, including a monthly call with our skills coach which helps me to talk through the things that are going well and the things that I am perhaps struggling with and this is also a good chance to ask for additional support or help.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The content we are taught can relate to my Amazon work to some extent. I feel like it could relate more to what I do on a day to day at Amazon. Some of LDNs criteria in the portfolio pieces section is hard to link to what I do at Amazon i.e offline marketing
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there is the opportunity for that, for example there is 5/7 aside football every Wednesday after work. Networking events arent as common but still frequent enough.

Amazon is an ideal company to work for. I value the flexibility Amazon offers me and I like the people I work closely with as they offer support when I require it and help me learn and develop

Learn about the company culture and get a feel for the ways of working ASAP as Amazon is such a unique company and works differently to most
