My role as an apprentice field engineer is to discover what every part of the job requires. i am learning the entire process from start to finish including selling the product to customer and following each step taken to the final part which is installation and maintenance.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

my program is very well laid out and easy to understand. i find this great help as i can do it all myself and if i need help i can ask my manager for advice. there are many colleagues all over the UK which i can arrange a meeting with for information etc.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have developed many of the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviour techniques during my time as an apprentice. some examples of this is communication, team-work, leadership, professionalism etc

I recieve a large amount of support rom my employer including a day out of my working week dedicated to completing college work and re-covering what was learnt that week
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification is a must have in order to work with High voltage power in the way that i will be. i have generated heavy knowledge on the subject and dived into everything
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is volunteering days, multiple team events every year, professional networking meetings and in person events and displays/shows. we also receive podcasts from CEO's and the opportunity to meet them and introduce ourselves

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
Just be honest and straight up about your knowledge.
If you manage to get an interview, research a bit about the company itself. and when being asked questions give out as much of your knowldge as you possibly can.
