I am learning new things at both university and at work. I carry out tasks like updating spreadsheets, completing forms, writing reports etc. I speak to my colleagues both in the office and on teams regarding projects and tasks we have to complete.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy learning new things and completing new tasks. I enjoy interacting with my colleagues at work in the office. I especially enjoy my weeks at University where I can study and spend time with my university colleagues.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many new skills and have gained a lot of technical knowledge so far from both the university and during work.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My apprenticeship is well structured at university and at work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a study day every week to revise and complete any ICE required activities.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive good support. My lecturers will respond to emails as quick as they can. I have a mentor provided by the university and we have meetings every 12 weeks to discuss how the apprenticeship is going and any improvements/extra support that could be beneficial.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps me gain the technical knowledge needed to complete tasks at work. It also helps me understand the ICE attributes I need to sign off to become Incorporated.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is usually an office social every month ranging from an activity to having lunch together.

They are well organised, helpful, staff and colleagues are friendly. As a Civil Engineering apprentice I have had a good experience working for Kier.

Show enthusiasm, do some research about the company beforehand. Explain why you want to work for Kier, and your ambitions and goals for the future.
