Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I get hands-on experience with the installation of electrical containment and wiring systems, I am given many opportunities to learn while given the space to build independence within a safe work environment, health and safety is a top priority while on site.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I very much enjoy my line of work/apprenticeship, it is a challenging yet rewarding career which interests me, I work with lovely people who all share a very similar precedent, I learn practical skills I get to apply in and outside of work hours, which I thoroughly enjoy.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed a large number of skills involving working within a team and more practical skills, which I did not possess before the apprenticeship, such as working with containment systems, operating plant equipment safely, such as obtaining my IPAF qualification.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The line of management is straightforward to follow. In any event that a request is needed, I have easy access to management and have an easy path to communication, either through my designated line manager or my site manager via telephone or Outlook.
All milestones and objectives are clearly stated and marked to myself the apprentice to assist in the progression.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

We provide any support needed with easy, constant access to our site manager or line manager via Outlook or telephone.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

YourChoice is a revision resource provided by Choice Training, which assists in the learning process alongside general support inside the classroom.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Through Choice Training, we learn both practical and theoretical, which assists in the large amount of work we perform, such as cable calculations or wiring systems, such as TT or TN-C-S.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Very often go to social events with workmates ,which help build a strong sense of camaraderie within our numbers; these have helped us all get to know each other outside of the workplace environment.

NG Bailey is a very welcoming firm and assists in the onboarding process and invests in their employees to succeed not only within the company but also outside. They push for constant improvement, such as personal goals and help assist in achieving them.
For this reason, alongside the fact I believe Bailey's is an enjoyable and well-supported firm, I would recommend NG Baileys to anybody who would be interested in one of the listed positions open within especially the electrical installation,n speaking from my own experiences.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NG Bailey?
Be honest during the application process, they are expecting a genuine candidate who has a genuine interest in the applied position over somebody more qualified but has very little interest in the role, You have applied to be an apprentice so don't be worried if you believe you may be slightly unexperienced in the chosen role, (of course do some research into the applied role).
