Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Day to day, I work alongside my mentor with the tasks provided to us. My main role is an apprentice paint technician. However, if needed I partake in various other jobs to assist my workplace in day to day progression.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy the programme. I feel more than adequately provided for within my workplace and am given many opportunities which I have enjoyed a great deal.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a great deal within my workplace, i have been able to progress my communication skills, Team work skills and independence. I have been given a lot of opportunities to learn and progress within my career. I have attended numerous training courses to learn multiple different skills and techniques to assist me at work.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well organised, i am frequently visited by [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] to review my progression, my training provider, Thatcham Research, are also very well organised.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer. They push me to strive for greatness and give me the opportunities to do so. They provide many training courses and the equipment and supplies needed to complete my job.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I was allocated a training reviewer by Thatcham Research, who visits me frequently. They ensure that i am being provided the correct training from my employer and that i am receiving the correct support. The training provider makes it easy to talk to people if this is needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

There have been occasions where things i have learnt from my training provider have assisted me within the workplace. Often through various things such as product knowledge, Application techniques and knowledge of various substrates. This is just one of many examples where my training has increased my workplace performance.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
