Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Working as part of a team to deliver improvements to software and any tooling that supports workflows. Like other engineers, I participate in daily standups, take responsibility for delivering software requirements and contribute to improving the codebase.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I gained a broad range of experiences working with different teams on different technologies using different tools. The encouragement and the opportunity to learn is great.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I learned to develop an engineering mindset to problem solving in order to develop a solution. Each task is an opportunity to learn something new about technologies, tools, languages!

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I think the programme is well structured because apprentices have the opportunity to rotate each year to work with different teams on different projects. We have the opportunity to learn and develop specific skills in each team.

5/5
Apprentices are well supported in order to develop as part of the team and to balance formal education with the role.

4/5
The training provider provides a structured learning pathway for the qualification. Support is available through online forums and the Skills Coach.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification provides opportunity to learn broadly about software e.g. mobile application and web development. It can be useful to have this range of knowledge and skills which can be applied to work.
The Skills Coach has been supportive in getting apprentices onboarded and getting to know the program.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes there are many opportunities to join communities e.g. games, sports, volunteering.
