Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Answering calls, issuing birth death and marriage certificates, covering reception, taking responsibility of stock, speaking to the coroner and medical examiner, booking in appointments to register birth, deaths and marriages, speaking to the call centre and being a marriage officer which is checking the marriage schedule is all correct and the legal requirements are completed during the ceremony.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I Really enjoy my job and the work that I do and tasks I have to complete daily and I have also learnt a lot of vital skills which will help me for my future.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learnt about the registry office and all the legal requirements which have to be followed. I've also learnt customer service skills and how to deal with difficult customers.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Overall my programme is organised, however I think there could be improvements on the way work is delivered and taught.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer and I ask questions about how the business operates and different processes which help me in my college work.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I do receive support from my training provider in the monthly meetings and emails which are helpful.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think it helps me understand why my work operatives in the way that they do and why stock has to be locked up for things like GDPR.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I have attended training sessions at Chester council HQ and I have also visited places such at the town hall, blacon crematorium and wedding venues
