I have a varied role in support of leaders & their product management, engineering & user experience teams. This includes effective communications, change management, learning, coaching, inclusion topics & projects.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

At times, while I have struggled to balance workload from my role, the apprenticeship, and personal life, the modules, platform, mentoring support, and learning have been superb. I am grateful to my employer, SAP, for providing such fantastic opportunities!
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Through the apprenticeship I have been able to refresh and extend my existing knowledge and skills, benefitting from additional theoretical models and many templates for practical use in my role.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The Corndel / CMI Level 5 Leadership programme is incredibly organised/structured. The ease of use of the online learning platform; the periodic live sessions; the regular 1:1s with my mentor; and quarterly reviews with my manager; all of this speaks to a thorough programme providing excellent opportunity & value.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The SAP UKI programme team are efficient and supportive. The funding from the market unit for this programme, and others offered internally, is a sound investment in our employees. I have had 2-3 managers during my time on the programme, all have been highly supportive of my programme commitment.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My mentor is consistently realistic & encouraging each time I speak with her, and via email or the learning platform. This is especially appreciated in the face of my constant re-balancing the time investment.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The breadth & depth of learning resources (theoretical summaries; reusable, practical templates; follow-up material in various formats) has provided me with much opportunity to reflect and apply best practice across various aspects of my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

SAP has a wealth of employee interest and networking groups, globally. Plus, the UK offices (as for other countries) has multiple extra-curricular activities & services for those who wish to utilise.

SAP's purpose says it all "To help the world run better and improve people's lives" - this is true for our employees, customers, social enterprise partners, and many other stakeholders. I am proud to work at SAP.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to SAP?
Be clear on how you want to contribute & seek a good starting point. Opportunities to grow & change are endless. Remember that we are each a talent & have much value and potential to contribute to achieving SAP's purpose & goals, and to maximise our own engagement, satisfaction and achievements.
