Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Reviewing designs/ drawings before being approved for construction. Using a total station and other survey equipment to set out / QA works on site. Carrying out quality checks as works are completed on site. Carrying out takeoffs & material counts for upcoming works.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy coming to work, feeling valued within a team leads to enjoying my role more

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learned lots of new software skills including AutoCAD. Lots of training and competencies provided to assist with works on site and with management roles. Teamwork, leadership, problem solving and Independence have all been improved.

There are aspects of the qualification that help within my role. However, the course covers a wide range of disciplines, not all of which are relevant to everyone.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are different events promoted each month by the company that are easily accessible for everyone. There are often charity events carried out on a site level to raise money for good causes.
