Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My day to day role consists of administarion work and using Excels to help do monthly liabilities and payments. My role also consists of doing daily checks on records like allocation sheets and timesheets that we recive weekly from our Subcontractor to highlight an errors and to get a more accurate liability and payment.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my progrmme, and I think that being able yo work full time and earning as well as getting a degree is best suited to me.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I think I have learnt new skills such as mathematical skills and new fomulas and equations to help me when using excels which I use on a daily basis. Furthermore, I believe my englidh and literacy skills have developed as, I use emaily as my main form of communication throughout my job.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think that my programmes is very well organised and structured as, we have 4 block weeks a year which is dedecated to attending university and then we have 20% off the job which is detecated to Uni work outside of this time so, I feel that the programme is very manageble and I am able to balance my work life and uni life very well.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I recieve a lot of support of my employer, and we attend webinars pre uni to gte us prepared and a chance for us to be able to ask any questions we may have.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We recieve a call with our uni coach every couple of months wherbey we can ask any questions and talk about out current grades/ current position at uni. Furthermore, we have numerous contacts that we can reach out to at anytime to help answer and questions/worries we may have.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think that my qualifictaiosn and what I am learning at University is helping me at my role by introducing me ino new technology which can be very useful in this role and different mathmatical skills which are also very beneficial as maths and number are a large fraction if my role.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have commercial events that happen every coupls of months or so which is a chance to meet those I work with on a daily basis outside of a working environment and, a chance to get to know each other on a more pesonal level.

I think Kier has a very well structured degree apprentceship to offer and has so much support from each section of the business to help me thrrough my degree and working life.
