Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am a management assistant and payroll officer. This involves booking any business trips for employees as well as visitors to our site. I manage the monthly payroll including all benefits. I also assist with the use of our systems.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed my programme as it helped me cement my knowledge in payroll. I have been able to use this knowledge in my day to day role and it has enabled me to support the internal stakeholders with any payroll queries.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I pick up new skills everyday from my colleagues. I also pickup skills from using different systems and processes. Collaborating with external stakeholders also helps develop my skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Organisation was good. I did however wish to have been a little bit more prepared for EPA.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive the support that i need. I have been able to turn to other colleagues in time of need.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider was amazing in giving me support. Any time i had any queries or questions regarding my course it was very easy to reach out to my tutor who would always respond swiftly and with valuable knowledge.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I now feel more confident in my knowledge. i have been able to apply everything i have learnt to my role and incorporate it in all of my tasks.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is a lot of social activities to get involved in that are put on by our well being team. Also have had opportunities to attend careers events to promote apprenticeships.

Why?

Lisi aerospace gave me the opportunity to work alongside my learning. They are very big on developing future talents which is shown in their apprenticeship programme. Very supportive of learning.
