Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a Plant Supervisor, my first priority is the health and safety of everyone on site. I oversee the production of Readymix concrete which includes production, maintenance, administration, stock management, organising and planning.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The training provided my Tarmac is excellent. The facilities and resources are of a very high standard and the staff employed to provide the training are very knowledgeable and supportive.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I started my role as a novice to the industry so I have learned many new skills. I did however bring with me some transferable skills which stood me in good stead.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is mapped out from day 1 with a full timetable of dates and courses. Each learning session is properly planned and delivers training appropriate to the course. Administrators organise transport, accommodation, meals and other resources as and when required to support learners.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I felt well supported from local management, my training manager and trainers. That support was through regular communication, offers of support and being available for any help when needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The training provided was well planned, delivered and all tailored towards the student being successful at the end of the program in their end point assessment.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I'm confident in performing my role, confidence that comes with skills and knowledge of my role. While a lot of learning was conducted while performing the role, the additional training provided on the programme has further enhanced that confidence and knowledge base.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
No, largely because I already have a busy life away from my work taking part in sports, hobbies and social activities.
