Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am responsible for arranging Fine Art Insurance coverage for clients, such as galleries, dealerships, private collector and Auction houses. I have my own accounts I work on, ensuring client's demands and needs are met. Day-to-day I have to do tasks such as, answer emails/ phone calls and produce documents. I regularly speak to clients and underwriters, in person and over the phone. I have to work together with my team to ensure targets are met.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
It can be challenging having a full time role as well as having to complete an apprenticeship, but I have received lots of support and am able to ask for help or for some additional study time in order to complete my apprenticeship tasks.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed my communication skills by meeting lots of new people within the company and outside. There's many networking events that occur which give the opportunity to interact with various people. Also, by participating in client meetings I have developed my communication skills and also learnt about professionalism, and being a ambassador for the organisation.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is well structured, the external apprenticeship provider gives everyone a 'skills tutor' who organises catch-ups and ensures I am on target with my tasks.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer is very supportive. I can ask for extra study hours if it's needed. And there's many other employees who have completed the apprenticeship programme who are available to help with studies, answer any questions or just to support you as you start the role.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I received lots of support. We had workshops, which are like lessons, for our modules. They also provided resources suck as past papers and my skills tutor was able to help me or point me in the right direction.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
My qualification has defiantly helped me perform better as it's given me lots of knowledge on the market I work within.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There's often social activities and networking events that I am involved in whereby you meet other young professionals. There is an Under 35's group within Lloyd's that arrange activities such as black tie events, cricket, quiz nights or sip & paints. I have also had the opportunity to travel with work.
