My role as an apprentice working at BASUK is to gain an understanding about the type of work which is carried out during base maintenance, understanding both the systems of aircraft and the paperwork which must be complete. This apprenticeship helps individuals gain and understanding of the aviation industry and prepare them for the future within the industry.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The bombardier apprenticeship is very enjoyable as no day is the same as another and a new challenge always awaits which makes the apprenticeship very enjoyable.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since beginning my apprenticeship my hand skills and confidence have both drastically improved compared to when i started, not only are my hand skills improving but also my knowledge for both tooling and aircraft systems are growing.
