Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I process invoices and credit notes, manage supplier setups, approve expenses, and prepare BACS payments. I handle finance queries, post journals, calculate depreciation and prepayments, and perform bank reconciliations. I track on-hold invoices, present updates weekly, and use FinancialForce to support accurate and timely financial operations.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy my programme as it allows me to build both technical and professional skills in a hands-on environment. I find the work varied and engaging, and I appreciate being part of a supportive team.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, I’ve developed my communication skills by verifying bank details over the phone and presenting in weekly meetings. I’ve also strengthened my technical skills by using FinancialForce, posting journals, and handling bank reconciliations.

4/5
I receive a decent amount of support from my training provider, with regular progress reviews and helpful feedback to stay on track with my qualifications. They’re approachable and available whenever I need guidance.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
My qualification supports my role well by helping me understand the theory behind key finance processes, which I can then apply in my day-to-day tasks. It adds valuable context to the work I do.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, there are plenty of extra-curricular activities at work, including various social events, professional networking opportunities, and access to different associations and sports clubs, which help build connections and create a great team environment.
