Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Ensuring compliance training is maintained minimising safety breeches. Facilitating training requirements for staff cross training into other areas. Completing audits on qualifying instructors to ensure the best training is given to staff.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Really enjoy the programme, some aspects we already had knowledge of, given the use of certain materials whilst onboarding our new hires.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Developed a better understanding of what a learner may need, or just how they may learn

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Fairly well organised with the face-face elements, (can't control the transport). All the webinars seem to go smoothly. I dislike the layout of the site with the full list of material showing with the addition of functional skills material.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My direct line manager is extremely supportive, having gone through the apprenticeship too, she knows the importance of getting the hours to do the work.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
There is support there for when it's needed, some slight lag, but this is mainly contributed from the shift pattern I keep - night shift worker.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It gives me better insight of how learners learn and also how learning is seen as a whole in the company. Allows to be adaptive to what their needs are.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There have been some instances that allow for this, certain events throughout the year eg Red nose day, our site is taking part in a Dragon Boat race in summer.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Amazon to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I've been with the company for 4 years and since starting, there's been nothing but support. My first site were constantly saying to apply for other positions and get more experience within the business, allowing for growth within the company. I love being part of the training team, been involved within this sector for 18 years and the difference amazing.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Amazon?
Show drive and passion for the process you're in, work through hard, busy times - prime week, black Friday can be quite stressful but worth it at the end. And the same I was told, apply for things that you have an interest in, keep knocking on those doors.
