Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Every day at National is different. For my role, as an apprentice, I need to complete all the stages of my apprenticeship. For that I need to tick off tasks on the list which makes up the stages. With this I am also involved with some of the other jobs off my task list where I take my learnings to the next level. The job also enables me to do a HNC degree besides my normal role. Therefore the daily routine is a blend and balance to focus on getting things on my task list done, working on assignments, while also learning off the job by getting involved in the work beyond my tasks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy my job to a great extent. It allows me to learn, while networking with various different people, develops my understanding of tools and hands on skills. Also, I am able to keep a good work life balance while working in this role.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Lots of skills developed with respect to the electrical power networks and the safety aspect which comes with that.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is a very well organised and structured programme which is one reason I chose to take on the role.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive all the support from my colleagues and managers whenever I have asked for it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The training provider has also offered support for me, always when needed
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
This is arguable a bit, however, the knowledge gained from the qualification does help in some areas of work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Have had social activities in training, so fair to say yes
