Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role includes resourcing and recruiting temporary & temp-to-perm staff on behalf of external clients. The main industries that I recruit for are warehousing, production & logistics. I communicate with general public, clients and colleagues. I identify a clients needs and requirements through effective communication and hire candidate's most suited to their needs.
I also complete sales calls and visits with companies that I want to supply to. I identify companies that do use temporary workers or might have a need for temporary workers. I then develop a sales plan to approach the company and begin supplying colleagues.
Other daily tasks include morning meetings, follow up calls with existing clients and temporary workers and general admin and payroll duties.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoyed the programme very much. It was all relevant to my job role and my day to day tasks. It allowed me to spend time focusing on specific areas of my role and develop my knowledge and understanding. This is includes things that I do every day such as candidate attraction, candidate communication, sales techniques and understanding the recruitment market.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt and continue to develop my sales techniques. This is something that was new to me when I joined the business, but through working closely with colleagues, completing training courses, first hand experience and completing my apprenticeship, I have been able to significantly improve performance in this area.
I have also developed my communication and planning skills. When working with so many external parties such as existing clients, potential future clients and job seekers, communication is key. My role at TBC has allowed e to develop this skill.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
My programme was well organised. From the outset, my trainer clearly outlined the process and the plan that was in place. It was made clear what I would need to do to complete the process. The only issue I faced was my original trainer left the business so I had a new trainer - this took a little while to get back up to speed and on track.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive as much support as I need from my employer. I was given adequate time to prepare for any tasks and projects and also given time to complete these within my working hours. Support was offered from colleagues and the training team. I also received feedback and ways to improve to ensure I developed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I received a lot of support from my training provider. They helped outline a plan of action to complete my programme. They offered support and feedback to allow me to improve. Everything was set out in a clear, structured way.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel that the qualification helps me within my role as it is all relevant to the role that I do every day. It allowed me to commit time to researching the industry and learn about different methods I can use to get the best results. This is in both the sales side and candidate attraction.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
There is a Menopause Café for people to join and talk.
