Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I manage the University Alliances program across the EMEA region as well as third party course design for platforms such as Coursera. This involves managing degree relationships across several hundred universities and 200k+ students.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am thoroughly enjoying it - the materials are engaging and well designed, the tasks and questions are fun and also inspire me to think in a more stretched way - developing ideas to challenge a topic from multiple angles.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to manage my thinking in a more structured manner - keeping focus on the end goal in mind and being able to use tools that are appropriate to the specific task or question I am dealing with.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is very well structured - there is the right amount of on line learning, the right level of development as the course progresses, the right degree of feedback and it is always clear what the learning objecives are for each course segment.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a great deal of support from SAP. I have a day a week specifically to spend on my own development as well as attendance from key personnel in calls when their input is needed. I also have support in picking the topic for the personal end project and a great deal of freedom in how to approach it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive just as much support as I could ask for.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification I am working towards has provided me with a smorgasbord of new tools and approaches to many different challenge sin my role - al of which are applicable but ag different times and in different circumstances. They are also interconnected so it is easy to see a progression from one challenge to the next.

Why?
SAP for me is a highly ethical company with an established set of positive values - which is why I have been at the company for 21 years. It provides a rich experience, opportunities to grow as a person and in my career and also supports me in launching new ideas and exploring creative thinking which I think is crucial to personal happiness.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to SAP?
I would say - if you are thinking of applying to SAP you should think of the company, and the technology, and the environment in which our customers operate - what they are likely to need and how we can help. The best applicants understand this 'analytical triangle' - and not just focus on the technology.
