Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is based on visualising data and automating the related processes. I then present the visualisations and the findings they uncover back to senior leadership. The majority of my role is justifying why I am right and someone more senior is wrong.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme itself isn't useful for finding a role after the apprenticeship because of how irrelevant the work is

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt SQL, excel and various visualisation tools. In terms of skills I've learnt to argue well and present my ideas effectively.

Very poorly, it took me 1.5 years to begin doing any actual data analytics

Not much, they aren't technical at all and don't really understand my role

Again not much, we barely have lectures and most is self study

Would you recommend Amazon to a friend?
No
Why?
Apprentices won't be paid as much at Amazon anymore. Also 5 days in office is a severe inconvenience
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Amazon?
Apply to a shorter course so that you can move on to an full time role quicker because the only programs that are better paid after completion are SDE, Cyber and Solutions architect
