I work as a Watchkeeper in the Navy Digital Operations Centre where I source data to manage a picture of naval vessels.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the program, the training is all online so I am able to work it around my job which can be a struggle sometimes we I make it work with the support of my tutor and colleagues.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since I started I have learned a lot of new skills when it comes to computers aswell as how to source, format, verify and analyse selected pieces of data.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

This is the first time the data technician program has been made for online learning so there are some struggles but nothing that can’t be sorted or fixed by the tutors to help keep me on the right track.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I revive a lot, with one to one sessions and a feeling of always being there for support has helped a lot throughout the course.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I revive a lot of support, I have monthly catch up sessions where I am able to show my work and go through it with them but they are always there for a chat if needed to help in anyway they can.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel the qualification has opened a lot of doors for what I can achieve in the company, I have learned about a lot of systems already which have helped boost the work quality since starting.
