As a field engineer in telecoms, your role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing communication networks like fibre, broadband, and phone lines across various customer and commercial sites. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing faults, performing repairs, configuring equipment, and ensuring strong customer service while following strict health and safety procedures. You work both indoors and outdoors using specialist tools to keep the network running smoothly.

I've gained hands on experience with telecoms like using diagnostic tools, and configuring network devices. I've also improved my communication and problem solving skills by working closely with customers and colleagues on site.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vodafone?
I would advise anyone applying to Vodafone to stay curious and as lots of questions, especially in the early stages. Be proactive, take notes, and show you're eager to learn, even if you're not hands on straight away. Building good relationships with your mentor and colleagues also goes a long way.
