Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As a Senior Marketing Executive, I help stakeholders within Commercial divisions deliver their marketing outputs internally and externally. This involves working closely with my wider Marketing team to help create these outputs including events, day-to-day collateral, and wider campaigns.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoyed the style of learning and flexibility that my apprenticeship offered. Being able to continue working a 4 day week then having 1 study day allowed me to focus on my tasks using the knowledge I had gained from that week. As my studying and lessons were all virtual, I was able to do my studying at home which I enjoyed.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Through my apprenticeship, I have learnt and developed a range of skills including stakeholder management, project management and marketing planning frameworks that help me within my day-to-day work. I have been able to share this knowledge with my peers which has been beneficial when working as a team.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My 18 month programme was very well structured, broken down into 12 months of monthly lessons and workbook tasks, with a 6 month assessment period at the end including a written project plan, multiple choice test, and professional discussion.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I received a lot of support from my employer, having weekly 1-2-1s with my manager and mentor who was very involved in what tasks I had, and easing workload if needed. As part of the apprenticeship programme my manager had to review and sign my completed work, meaning she had complete oversight of what my apprenticeship entailed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider was very supportive, keeping the same teacher throughout the whole course so we were familiar with them, and always offering additional support after the monthly lessons if needed, especially during the assessment period to ensure we stayed on track.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel my qualification has provided me with the additional skills, knowledge and behaviours to excel in the workplace and in my role. It has allowed me to progress in my role from a Marketing Executive to Senior Marketing Executive, and has provided added value when interacting with internal and external stakeholders, something that is a big part of my current role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are many groups, initiatives and events to get involved in at work to allow you to be social and network with people across the business.

As someone who joined Savills half-way through their apprenticeship, they were so accommodating and offered support and guidance straight away to ensure the transition over from my previous company was as smooth as possible. Since completing my apprenticeship they have continued to support my progression, making me feel like a valued part of the team.
