Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

The job role involves various different tasks depending on which team you are currently in. One example would be answering customer/supplier queries on a tool called techrequest. The queries vary depending which team you are in as this would be related to your teams responsibility for example engineering or technical data queries.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the day to day challenges and how to overcome them as a team. There are lots of different placements to be involved in so its interesting to see how each differs in there own way and how each team comes together as a department.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have learnt new skills as we work in teams so I have improved my communication skills. I am also more comfortable with speaking in front of people as I have done some presentations.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Well structed as there is a placement plan set out so we know where to go in the future and the duration of each placement.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

If I need support people are happy to help also there are wellbeing programs if you are struggling with your mental health
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Okay support, sometimes it can be unorganised but in general I have gotten through it well and actually gaining my qualifications.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I work in an office and I have been doing activates such as welding so this does not help me in my job role. There are also no qualifications to d with aviation which would have been useful to gain a deeper understanding of aerodynamics etc. But on the other hand some lessons has came in useful
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there are multiple opportunities such as STEM activities which is going to local schools and sharing your experience at Airbus and what your apprenticeship consist of. Also in the past sporting event took place which involved a customer service football team. So there are lots of opportunities

Why?
Its a very good company to work for as lots of people are friendly and happy to help. The company also looks after there employees very well. The work is also interesting and tricky to get bored when you have work to do.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Airbus?
Be confident, do your research on the your job role you wish to apply for and make sure to be respectful to one another to promote a positive working environment.
