I work in the UKI market for DXC Technology as a Business Analyst supporting public sector customer contracts. I am responsible for the business operations on the customer accounts I support which involves the performance reporting, billing, pipeline tracking and chairing the customer meeting cadence requirements.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The content involved was relatively relevant to my role and business, with some of the new skills learnt being applied immediately in my role. However the volume of additional work required to be completed resulted in a large time commitment to the apprenticeship, leading to less time to complete my role's responsibilities and additional pressure in my role.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Monthly workshops followed by projects and essays to be completed in between. ~3 months to prepare the EPA portfolio where additional time in the programme to focus on this would have been appreciated.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

~1/day per week to complete the apprenticeship activities. Support from both my people and line managers to ensure I had adequate time to complete.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Drop-in sessions with coaches, community portal where learning materials could be accessed, minimal support on the EPA portfolio and project outside of general guidance. I would have preferred a more hands-on approach to prep from the coach however understand the time constraints due to multiple apprentices per coach.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Widened my skill-set with new hard skills whilst developing my soft skills in stakeholder management and communication. Improved my confidence when dealing with new tasks or stakeholders.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Social Value organisation through charity initiatives e.g. lead on the quarterly monthly Stepathon to raise money for a DXC colleague's daughter.

Why?
Exposure to working on high-profile customer accounts, gain experience working with great technologists, ability to gain additional qualifications and certifications alongside your role.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to DXC?
Have a want to learn and grow your skills alongside the demand internally in the business
Have a focus on working collaboratively and being flexible to hit the ground running in new roles or accounts when working with a new team of stakeholders
