Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Every day was different, however i was mainly out on viewings, attending inspections, attending client meetings, or being in the office helping senior professionals on their daily tasks. I make up marketing brochures, wrote up heads of terms, and wrote summaries of key documentation for a Scotland wide COVID Recovery pitch that the development team were preparing for.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It has been very useful. Although I have been lucky enough to have already secure a grad job and thus have a good understanding of different business areas, it was a really good refresher and definitely provided insight about divisions that I hadn't considered before (Savills Energy and affordable housing)

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Very much built on core technical skills developed at university such as measuring and inspecting properties. Beyond this I have developed skills like communication and organisation from engaging with clients and other professionals while also managing multiple workstreams at once.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everyone is always up for a chat and are genuinely keen to get to know you. Have been on work lunches and evening events, so everyone is very sociable and down to earth
