My role is to do what foreman says to do and also learn a lot of things from them such as every aspect of painting and
decorating everyday learn new things. Job also involves social communication as we work on many jobs with a lot of people in such as hospitals care homes etc

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I’ve learnt how to wallpaper. Prepare things properly to be painted how to cut in neatly, roll with a nice finish on the wall, properly gloss doors without drips on, caulking properly, filling, etc

It is very well organised as there is plenty of opportunities to learn

We receive a lot of support from our employer if there’s any problems they always sort it an can help with anything

Being qualified shows that u are able to do whatever a painter and decorator is supposed to do which gives u a lot more confidence in ur work since u passed epa to get qualified
