This is an exciting time to join Bagnalls. We are a highly regarded, family-owned professional painting contractor celebrating 150 years in business in 2025. We deliver high-value commercial and decorative painting projects for a variety of customers including blue-chip companies, prestigious universities, and historic buildings. Each year we recruit approximately 30 apprentices to undertake the Level 2 Painter and Decorator apprenticeship, lasting for 2 years, working with a range of training providers in England and Wales. Following successful completion of this programme, we encourage our apprentices to progress onto the Level 3 Craft Decorator apprenticeship, which lasts 18 months.

We also have around 20 Management Trainees in our business, learning all aspects of running successful painting contracts. Those who do not have a relevant degree or a trade apprenticeship undertake a Level 4 apprenticeship in Project Management or Construction Site Supervision.

Other employees within Bagnalls have also undertaken apprenticeships in finance, sales, cybersecurity, administration and sustainability.
