Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role primarily consists of marketing properties that are available to lease - mainly through communication with other agents. I also help my team with preparing documents that they present to their clients.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme is very enjoyable. It is not repetitive and there is always something to learn. The university has great support and have regular checkups to see how you are getting on.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have improved my communication skills as I regularly call other agents to discuss their marketed availability. I have also learnt a lot of the language used to describe buildings, alongside the type of features you would find in a refurbishment. I have also grown my mathetmatical skills through creating cash flows.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well structured, I get one day a week at home to study online for my university course. This day is usually enough, although when there are assignments I find myself completing it whenever I have free time.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from all my team members, whenever I have a question they will take time out of their work to come over and explain any confusion I have. They always encourage me to be the best I can be.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My university offers a lot of support in the 1-to-1 meetings with the course leaders that can be scheduled whenever as well as regular progress meetings with your AOO and your line manager where we discuss my progress on the course.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

As I am only one semester into my degree, I have not come across any of the university content in my daily role, but I have been told it gets a lot more relevant as the course progresses.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I am not personally involved in any activities, but I know there are sports teams for all ages and genders as well as all skill levels. There are regularly professional networking events that happen within my line of work.

Yes
Why?
I think that the wide range of service lines offer so much variety for anybody looking for a professional career. It is not just property related at all, there are roles that go far beyond real estate at Savills.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
I think that work experience is key. It is not essential, but it is very good for the individual to figure out whether they enjoy the world of property. It also shows you are interested in a particular industry rather than applying to everything available.
