Overall Rating

2.7 /5

The Overall Rating is the average of all the ratings given in each category. We take those individual ratings and combine them into one final score!

3/5 - Skills Development
2.4/5 - Structure and Support

Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I build training materials for across a large corporate sector, and I advise on DEI topics/concerns.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
Really not very much. I find some topics can be quite interesting, but most of them I find very hard to get to specific learning that would help me in my role.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I've learnt some things from the programme, but find it often gets in the way of learning. I am entirely self-taught when it comes to L&D, so it would be nice to spend more time analysing things I might have missed, instead it's very programmatic. I passed this back as feedback, and my skills coach has been doing what she can, but she's still limited by the course itself.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
In theory it's very well structured, for me I find said structure really limiting.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I get one working days worth of hours a week to complete it. Plus staff are encouraged to come to meetings with us for discovery. I would say though that we arer expected to put it on the back burner when key developments occur that require immediate attention. (I must admit those are often the bits of my job I enjoy the most, so I'm not the person to quibble over the time)
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Limited support if I'm honest, but that might be because the qualification is at the end of the programme.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
It has helped with some of the soft skills elements, but in the day to day deliverables it has not helped at all.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
Not at my level.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend RSA Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It's a good place to hone skills, and there's always changes going on. It keeps it exciting.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to RSA Group?
RSAs values are core to everything we do, I would genuinely recommend looking them up, as well as the employee promise. If it sounds like somewhere you'd be a good fit, then apply.
