My job role involves, delivering innovative property and construction solutions tailored to deliver on a client's unique requirements. This includes, providing professional advice to clients on the construction and condition of their properties, reviewing various legal and regulatory aspects in relation to the built environment, and managing a variety construction projects from inception to completion.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy all the work I carry out at the programme. My job role provides a variety of unique challenges ensuring no day is different, whilst still ensuring the stability and security of full time employment.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Throughout the course of my apprenticeship, I have learnt and developed a variety of skills related to the construction industry, including the ability to: Assess building defects and determine the suitable remedies required, specify a list of suitable construction work, estimate the likely price, manage the process of a construction project, and review legal property documentation and assess the requirements held within them,

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well organised and structured, and has been meticulously refined to provide a seamless development experience. Programme manager effectively maintain the delicate balance between on the job experience and degree studies.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I am currently in the final stages of my apprenticeship, and my employer has provided me with all the support possible to ensure I succeed. Regular reviews and structured catch-ups allow me to request the guidance I need at the time, which is always provided.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider has many of their own processes and systems to provide all the necessary support through the programme.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification is directly related to my job role, and completing the qualification has helped me progress throughout the various stages of my career.

Why?
Through completion of the Savills apprenticeship programme, I have developed as an individual and as a professional. The programme kickstarted my career by providing the full funding for my degree, and further qualifications, while providing me with a salary for my day to day job role.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
I would recommend being proactive. When applying you need to demonstrate that your are passionate about the role you are applying for and the industry you are applying to be part of. Through actively learning about specific industry issues and topics, as well as the commercial context of the company (competitors and the market).
