Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
On a day to day basis, I am liaising with landowners to establish land rights for overhead powerlines. Also, completing route selects for powerlines and using systems such as the land register to establish landownership and current rights over land.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I highly enjoy my programme, it is an extremely beneficial way to develop professional skills and gain educational qualifications at the same time.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Through my apprenticeship I have developed my communication skills massively, through communicating with clients and landowners. Additionally, I have developed my critical thinking skills and am able to think outside of the box in tough situations.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
My programme is pretty well structured, I feel like over the last couple of years the training hasn't been as good as in the first year of my apprenticeship. However, this was raised to my manager and there has been a clear effort made to ensure this is changed, with multiple training days being added into the calendar and external training being provided also.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a great amount of support from my employer, and always feel comfortable asking questions.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I am allowed an abundance of time for my qualifications, including time off to attend university and time through the week to carry out my studies also.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
My degree isn't very relevant to my job, but none the less helps me gain a knowledge in another industry which could help me in the future.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are multiple professional networking events that I am able to get involved in through my work. We have a few social activities which we partake in also.
