Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I go on site visits frequently—around once a week—to various types of properties, including industrial estates, offices, and developments. I then write reports based on my findings in the office, and one day a week, I attend university for my degree.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Overall I enjoy what I do, there are some days that are harder then others but generally I am happy with my apprenticeship,

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Overall, I have grown both personally and professionally. The most noticeable improvements have been in my English proficiency, and critical thinking abilities.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Contributions from both my university and Savills have meant that my programme is very well structured and I am fully aware of what I need to do for the next 5 years.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The support I receive from my team and the apprenticeship team in Savills has been very good. I have frequent check ins with multiple people who are here to support me in all aspects.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Because UCEM is an online institution, it can sometimes feel like there isn't much support, as it's just you and a screen. However, they offer a wide range of support services readily available through the portal. Additionally, I have mandatory check-ins every 12 months with my apprenticeship outcomes officer.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Some modules- especially the early ones are very broad. However, they lay important foundations which I feel have helped boost my confidence in my work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
"Because I work in Southampton, there aren't many sports activities available. However, I’m aware that there are plenty in London. On the other hand, we have a variety of social activities and professional networking events, with at least one taking place each month.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Savills to a friend?
Yes
Why?
There is a positive and friendly environment where everyone helps you settle in and supports you throughout your apprenticeship. I have never felt unsupported or given irrelevant tasks. From day one, I was thrown in the deep end and been actively involved in meaningful projects.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
Don't try to be someone you aren't, be yourself.
