Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Role is to manage commercial properties on behalf of clients. Day to Day in this role varies, Things that we could do day to day, is go on site inspections, deal with service charge, chase arrears etc. As an apprentice role is to aid colleagues on their sites then eventually manage your own.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Highly enjoyable due to opportunities to visit varieties of sites, learn new intriguing information every day. Degree work also interesting which makes it enjoyable to do. Meaningful work and projects and learning why also makes the programme interesting. Furthermore, the people at the company are welcoming which overall makes the programme an enjoyable experience
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes- Cultivated deadline management skills, improved communication skills as communicate with a wide range if people, e.g different ages, different roles etc. Also enhanced Microsoft skills through Savills provided courses. Learnt how to be adaptable by working on different types of sites which require different things.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a good level of support from my employer, everybody is helpful within the office when asking for help with work. Managers are also supportive for things outside of work which are important. Apprenticeship team are supportive with check- ins and are available to help whenever needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Training Provider is supportive also, good level of support from tutors, AOO is helpful with reviews etc. Offers a good level of help and support, Loads of portals where you can receive help on the website too. Couple of occasions where subject tutors have not responded to queries.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Thoroughly helps as the course directly links and will eventually allow me to sit the end point exam which will make me qualified. Furthermore, the modules link in well with what I do in my role and enhances industry knowledge which is very helpful.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are sports teams and occasional sports matches to join. There are socials every few months however the socials are mostly drinking centered which can be difficult to get involved in. Apprentice events have been really good, would be nice to have more as they are quite good.

Excellent company to work for, helpful and friendly culture, massive company, really supportive for apprentices, skilled professionals who can help you learn a lot. Overall, a really good company to work for, with a lot of support and also a place where you can benefit from learning a lot of skills.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
Have a strong CV, showcase skills that Savills are looking for. Be confident but not over-confident and show that you are passionate about what you are applying for.
