Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role involves working with the global congress team to implement a 3 year business plan. The team is involved in making changes across the business and helping to improve global events. Day to day tasks include things like making the agenda for team meetings and doing the attendance for congresses.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I believe once I properly start the placement I will gain greater responsibility but at the moment having only been working for 3 days not much responsibility has been placed on me.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Having just started at the placement I would say there is still a lot to learn and many skills to develop. I would say I have however developed greater interpersonal skills being introduced to many new people as well as organisation skills to prioritise important tasks.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I have my line manager who I have felt comfortable enough to contact and ask for help. I also have the current placement student who is having a 2 week handover with me so I can learn more about the role.
