Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

The first half of the apprenticeship is split between the academy and working on patch, roughly 2 weeks at a time. The second half of the apprenticeship is mainly patch based. This involves changing gas and electric meters

Not really. But if you live far enough away from from the academy you will be put up in a hotel, which typically has a gym. And you may find yourself socializing with other apprentices in your group or other groups
