Interacting with different customers in their homes. Changing gas and electric meters. Hands-on job where you use tools and testing equipment.

I enjoy being on patch more than the academy. I have enjoyed learning new things

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to use lots of tools and testing procedures. Learnt how to risk asses. Also electrical systems and requirements for gas appliances, e.g., ventilation

How well organised/structured is your programme?

On paper it was but the program structure should be changed in my opinion. I would have preferred learning gas, doing the ACS, and then learning electrics. Also I should not have to travel to my mentor on patch

I feel that when you really learn is on patch. This isn't necessarily the Academy's fault as on patch you see different scenarios
