Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

2 weeks in academy then 2 weeks on patch alternating until passed exams, then move onto support and monitoring then solo work until the 60 weeks is done. Changing meters both gas and electric.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

really enjoy the mix of classroom and work. Breaks up the learning. Journey home can be long back to Essex, but the 4pm finish helps.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

How to change both gas and electric meters. And slowly learning to be gas safe. Continue to develop customer service and time keeping skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

fairly well organized however i haven't had mentor for much patch work. So I feel somewhat rushed and being taught as much due to the engineer having own deadlines to hit.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Complete support with health condition.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

full support. Tutors supportive in any help and questions. Hotel paid for during exam week and exam prep week
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel a lot of smart is learnt our on patch. ventilation for example I'm told we won't need, so some of qualification will be pointless. However can be useful to have
