Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Part of the Drug Product Development team at Ware R&D. Carrying out laboratory based work with regards to the drug development projects. Getting trained on and operating machinery such as High Shear Wet Granulator, Compression, Coating, Milling etc. Taking part in project meetings.

I have been given an immense amount of responsibility during my placement which enhanced my professional skills.

I learned and operated different types of machinery used for drug product formulations. Learned all the considerations that go into drug product formulation.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I have received a lot of support both from my supervisor and manager but also from our line manager and the rest of the team. Everyone was very supportive, friendly and helpful. There is so much room to grow at GSK without experiencing any judgement.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very friendly, supportive, no judge or pointing fingers culture. Everything is all about patients, how we can improve their health outcomes and what we can do better each time.

Show enthusiasm in your area, be able to demonstrate your knowledge and skills, give as much example as you can to different competencies and never be afraid to say you don't know, but be open to learn.
