My role at bagnalls is an apprentice which means I do alot of the same as my colleagues as my skills and experience is getting better at the job but at the start I did a lot of watching, cleaning etc but I really love working at bagnalls everyone treats everyone with the same attitude and respect which is really good
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really love working at bagnalls because it’s a good place to work in , you get paid good and always on time, the office staff is good and always will listen to anyone’s problem at work and they support apprentices very good they have there own academy which you learn a lot of skills in
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a lot of skills like cutting in, rolling walls and ceilings papering spraying that’s just the practical work but I’ve learnt respect and patience at work also a good routine with working every day , I’m also learning how to pot blast which is a really good skill

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It’s very organised at bagnalls we have always got a schedule for college and always have thing planned in advance which helps keep a routine , they have there own academy which is like college but funded and run by bagnalls which supports apprentices very well and works on their skills
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We get a lot of support of our employers , any difficulties we face we can always talk to them and resolve it
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We receive a lot of support with our training with college for a week every 4 weeks and academy 3/4 times a year which works on our skills at work
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Well with working a lot in training it boosts your skills to show your skills at work and helps you preform better in your workplace

Why?
I would definitely recommend bagnalls because the ammount of support you get towards your skills in incredible I had no experience in painting and decorating at all when I started now I have a lot of skills due to how good the programme of working as an apprentice is here
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Bagnalls?
As long as you have a good work ethic and are always on time and respectful and ready to learn you will thrive at bagnalls because everyone here is supportive and ready to learn you
