Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I was given a role as a wintel engineer where I work on servers/VMs building and decommissioning them mainly for clients aswell as other wintel tasks such as installs/upgrades etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy the social aspect of the academic programme and the events going on. I enjoy taking on new challenges and tasks in the opportunities that come my way

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Yes I have learnt a whole new range of skills, working on servers and VMs with Wintel OS that I hadn't had before.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
I think the organisation has improved alot over the time I have been here however I was not happy with the allocation of my role at the beginning as my career aspirations and uni specialism align with a software engineer role.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I do recieve good support from my employer especially with regards to dealing with the apprentice course provider as there have been some issues but my employer has handled it well for us.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
The university is not the most supportive and the lecturers all haven't been the best however they do provide the resources taught in the lessons. They are working to improve after exchanges with my employer who was working to support us further.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The qualification generally is very good and provides alot of useful and helpful information and allows me to develop alot of my skills. However the role my company has put me into doesn't entirely align with my specialism I have chosen in the degree.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes I get involved in guild events, the book club and seasonal festivities events.
