Overview of Role

Assisting qualified actuaries with tasks such as quarterly reporting, process improvement, data analysis, model runs. This could include updating spreadsheets, testing out calculations etc...
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
So far I am really enjoying my programme. It is great to be constantly learning and developing new skills, and being able to apply new things I have learnt through study to the job role.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Excel and overall data analysis skills have been developed greatly since joining. I have also began to learn coding skills and other types of modelling software. Presentational/communication/teamwork skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Extremely organised/well structured. We are giving assignment deadlines, tutorial dates etc all well in advance. We know what is expected of us.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
A lot - I have regular calls with my line manager to catch up. Equally, my colleagues who I directly work with are supportive.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
A lot - we have regular tutorials and calls with work coaches to monitor progress/discuss any issues. There are various people to contact if needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Very well. I am only a few months in to the qualification and have already came across things in my job role that I have learnt through study, making it easier to understand and apply this knowledge.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
We have frequent socials covering a range of activities throughout the year. There are also other options to network such as coffee catch ups etc.
