Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work within life insurance outsourcing my role involves supporting in actuarial reporting and also working within our platforming team on process improvement. On a day to day basis this involves updating spreadsheets, working with proprietary software, working on python developments and some ad hoc work as well.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have really enjoyed my role so far, the work has been extremely interesting and my team has been extremely supportive and encouraged me to get involved with multiple different projects. The work life balance has been good as well.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed my spreadsheet skills, programming skills and learnt to work with various different software's. I have also developed professional skills such as time management, communication and organisation.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I have 1 study day a week, as well as catchups with my tutor every 6 weeks to check on my progress, every month there are modules/assignments to deliver as well and tutorials to support in these.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My colleagues have been extremely supportive and encouraged me to get involved with various different projects, I am given one study day a week for my course and personal development. I also have bi-monthly catchups with my line manager who has been very helpful.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive training materials including tutorials, a textbook, online recording's and mock tests available online as well as catchups with my tutor every 6 weeks.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification ties well into my role and has helped my understanding in my work, various concepts and softwares I have learnt about have been used in my daily work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes we have work socials regularly as well as visits to the gym during our lunch break.
