Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Survey for works, quote for works after site survey, once the works have been approved order what is required to complete the job and set up paperwork. Manage the job while it is running. Invoice customer when works are complete. There are many other jobs that require doing on a day-to-day basis however this is the core of what is to be done.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy this programme, I look forward to coming into work every day.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
The biggest skill I have developed is measuring and surveying to works. Phil who works for head office and everyone in the office are more than happy to help you develop this.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is very well structured, you are given a 'management trainee scheme' booklet at the very start of your training that outlines what you should know at given checkpoints (I.e. 6 months, 1 year, 2 years). At each of these checkpoints you will have a practical and theoretical tests. Although most of the learning is down to you to learn, you receive a lot of support from everyone in your branch.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Support from everyone from head office down to branch, if you ever need a question answering, someone will be there to provide you with an answer.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The college is a separate side of this traineeship. They help guide you towards a recognised qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I am currently undergoing a 'Construction site supervisor' level 4 course in college. This helps me perform better in my role as it helps me to understand the laws and regulations surrounding construction projects. As well as other aspects that reflect onto my job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Every year Bagnalls holds a management trainee conference, in which every management trainee attends a 3 day conference where you learn information and skills. At the end of each night you are taken for a meal.
